Current Situation

The VHDL LRM 2008 has a paragraph header - section 16.8.2.4.3 - without a following text paragraph. Instead, it is immediately followed by section 16.8.2.4.4 header and this numbering seems to indicate an error.

Implementation details

Upon comparison with the 1997 version of the 1076.3 standard, it would appear that a level of section numbering has been ommitted.

Sections 16.8.2.4.4 through to 16.8.2.4.9 should be renumbered as 16.8.2.4.3.1 through to 16.8.2.4.3.6 sub-section headers.

The following section 16.8.2.4.10 should then be renumbered as section 16.8.2.4.4 header.
