Compared to the previous version, the updated document includes the following substantial changes: - Synchronization with DASC Policies and Procedures. This precipitated many of the other changes - Addition of Treasurer position - Scope to also include 1076.1.1. I know this is not currently part of our PAR, so this needs to be addressed in due time - Removal of all references to IEEE-SA documents. The DASC P&Ps contain no such references, and the Bylaws and Operating procedures of IEEE-SA have changed substantially so the references in V1.0 were no longer correct - Removal of the possibility of a letter ballot - Meeting notice now 21 days - Adjustment of WG membership rules by removing Observers; from the perspective of the procedures there is no difference between Observers and Members who are not also DASC members - Voting membership requiring participation in 2 out of 3 previous meetings or votes Alain has uploaded two documents with the updated Procedures, one that includes all changes relative to the currently active Procedures and one that contains the final version. You can find these documents and the currently active Procedures at http://www.eda-stds.org/vhdl-ams under the Operating Procedures link. You can also find them by directly going to http://www.eda-stds.org/vhdl-ams/wwwpages_new/operating_procedures.html. I am calling for a vote of the WG to adopt these updated Operating Procedures. The vote is conducted based on the rules of the old procedures. Eligible to vote are all WG members who are also DASC members as of January 31, 2008. The vote requires approval by two-thirds of the voting members. Please cast your vote by email to me, christen.1858@verizon.net, by midnight UCT Friday, February 22, 2008. Thank you.
