Election of IEEE VHDL-AMS WG officers

From: Peter Ashenden <peter_at_.....>
Date: Tue Oct 30 2007 - 14:51:37 PDT
Dear colleagues,

Nominations for officer positions for the IEEE P1076.1 VHDL-AMS Working
Group have now closed. The nominees are:

Chair: Ernst Christen
Vice Chair: John Willis
Secretary: Tom Kazmierski and Alain Vachoux
Treasurer: David Smith

Under IEEE election procedures, we still need to have an election for each
position, as there is the option of voters writing in candidate names. So I
now invite members of the WG to vote. As specified in the DASC procedures:

Voting shall be by "approval", whereby each balloter may cast an
approval
vote for each of any number of nominees for an office. The nominee with
the greatest number of approval votes shall win the election. Write-in
candidates are permitted as specified in the IEEE Bylaws.

In the event of a tie, the Returning Officer shall decide between the
tied
candidates by picking a candidate's name from a hat.

Would WG members please vote by completing the form below and returning to
me by reply email by 5:00pm US-PST, Wednesday 28 November. Note that voting
membership requires that you be a current member of DASC. If you are not and
would like to join, please see www.dasc.org.

Thanks, and regards,

Peter Ashenden
