Attendance/Quorum

We have 5/5 eligible entities, and have a working quorum.

Patent Policy

The Patent slides were offered for review.

No new claims were disclosed at the call for essential patent claims.

Previous Minutes

John moved and Michael seconded the approval of the July 2, 2008 minutes. Dave G abstained. The motion was approved.

Action Item Review

Steven reviewed the open action items. Steven closed his action to transcribe the current action item list to the P1735 web. Dave G closed his action item to refine the Digital Envelope use case for read/write tools.

Twiki site access

Steven discussed new user registrations and encouraged working group participants to complete their registration invitations.

Use Cases

We discussed the prototype tool flow contributed by Jim Robinson on June 4, 2008. We accumulated a set of questions to guide the completion of this description.

We discussed the refinements needed for the Digital Envelope use case, to cover tools that both read and write IP. In the course of the discussion, differences of definition for the term Digital Envelope became apparent. Otherwise the updates look reasonable.
