Working Group Operating Procedures
The
Operating Procedures
outline the orderly transaction of business of the P1076.1 Working Group.
How to Participate
There are several levels of participation (may be cumulative):
- Join the mailing list. This allows you to observe working group's activities and to participate in reviewing, commenting and technical contributions.
- Register to the working group roster. This allows you to participate in working group votes and in DASC
votes.
- Register to an IEEE ballot. This allows you to participate in the process to formally approve or reaffirm an IEEE standard.
Mailing List
You'll have to remove the NOSPAM string from the email addresses.
Working Group Roster
Being a member of the Working Group Roster allows you to participate in working group votes and in
DASC
votes.
A prerequisite is that you need to be a DASC member. Please use the
DASC application form
if you are not yet a DASC member or if you need to renew your DASC membership.
Then send a registration request to the
working group secretary that must include (all items are required): first and last names, email address, and affiliation.
Voting Membership
A voting member must participate in any Calls for Vote (CFV) within the working group. This is a minimal measurement of active participation. A vote to abstain qualifies as a recorded vote (in case a member does not have adequate time to properly review the material put to a vote).
If a voting member misses 2 consecutive CFVs, then that member will be removed from the WG voting membership. This has no impact on subscription to the mailing list. It is possible to continue to participate, except for CFVs, without being a voting member of the working group.
The current status of the voting membership will be available here (
TBD).
