Review and approve minutes from last meeting
Ernst aggreed to approve the Minutes of the August 22, 2011 meeting. Discussion on action items of the last meeting
Status of the TDM reference implementation
The version 0.7 was prepared using VHDL 2002 and is available as
zip-file. Details concerning the application can be found in the meeting slides (
ppt).
The subsequent topics were discussed
- The type INTERPOLATION_METHOD was extended by TDM_IGNORE to skip a column while reading data from a file.
- The identifier of the EXTRAPOLATION_METHOD TDM_EXTRAP was replaced by TDM_CONTINUATION. However, a better identifier should be found.
- TDM_ERROR should be the last method in the enumeration list of the declaration of type EXTRAPOLATION_METHOD.
- It can be expected that input data for 1-dimensional interpolation are provided by ordered vectors.
- PREPARE_TABLE_DATA functions that return TABLE_DATA_COMPLEX values that can handle complex vectors represented by magnitude and phase or db and phase values resp. should be added. The representation of values shoul be in accordance with the TouchstoneŽ File Format Specification:Version 2.0. Ratified by IBIS Open Forum, April 24, 2009 (external Link
).
- The list of formal parameters of the PREPARE_TABLE_DATA function that reads values from a file should allow to determine a column that contains the function values. The final solution must be in accordance with the Verilog-AMS Language Reference Manual – Version 2.3.1. Accellera, June 1, 2009 (see section 9.20) (PDF
).
Test cases and further steps
More test cases must be provided. Error handling must be improved.
