All,
As previously communicated, IEEE Std 1076.1.1 IEEE Standard VHDL Analog and Mixed-Signal Extensions — Packages for Multiple Energy Domain Support has reached the end of its 5 year window after which a reaffirmation or revision is required. For a variety of reasons we have decided on a revision, and the revised draft document has been available for review by the Working Group (WG) for a while. I have received one review with no significant issues.
The next step before going to an IEEE ballot is to approve the draft document by the WG. The draft document is available at http://www.eda-twiki.org/twiki/pub/P10761/P107611Privatearea/P1076.1.1-2010-Body-D1.1.pdf. To access the document you need an account on the Working Group twiki site. Please contact the WG Secretary Alain Vachoux, alain.vachoux@epfl.ch to get an account. Accounts are available for Working Group members who are also DASC members.
I am calling for a vote to get this approval. Per Working Group Operating procedures, Voting Members are members of the IEEE P1076.1 Working Group who are also members of the DASC (Design Automation Standards Committee) and have attended at least 2 of the last 3 Working Group meetings or votes. Only votes of Voting Members will be counted for the approval of the draft standard. Votes of others will count towards future status as a Voting Member. The issue to vote on is described next.
Do you approve the P1076.1.1 draft document?
....... Affirmative
....... Do Not Approve (Negative with comments)
....... Do Not Approve (Negative without comments)
....... Abstain
The vote will close Sunday, May 16, 2010. Please send your vote to christen.1858@verizon.net.
