Dear 1076.1 WG members, The vote on the Working Group Operating Procedures document closed on Friday Sept. 23 with the following results. WG members in the roster: 36 (of which 13 are DASC members for 2005 and then are considered as voting members) Have voted: 10 (of which 9 are DASC members) Vote details: Ashenden Peter approved Christen Ernst approved Haase Joachim approved Hervé Yannick approved Karffalt Jake approved (not DASC member) Mirmak Michael approved with comment: An excellent effort! My only item of concern would be the lack of direct treatment of financial matters. I can only assume that the WG's budget, spending, etc. are entirely controlled by the IEEE. This should probably be clarified in a future statement from the WG or by DASC. Shi Richard approved Shields John approved Smith David W. approved Vachoux Alain approved This vote passed as it required a 2/3rd approval from voting members. The next, and final, step is to get the DASC Steering Committee approval. My answer to Michael's comment: The 1076.1 WG does not have any financial activities so there is no need to have a Treasurer and to include specific clauses in the document. Should the WG have financial activities, the document will be amended accordingly. DASC has guidelines on how to do this. I'd like to stress the need to have enough voting members in the WG when it will come to vote on more substantial matters such as the updated draft 1076.1 LRM. Please consider registering as DASC member (http://dasc.org/dasc_membership_application.html) *and* registering to the WG roster by sending me the following information: name, address, IEEE membership number and business affiliation. I recall you that only knowing your email address limits you to act as observers. The current state of the WG roster is published at http://www.eda-twiki.org/vhdl-ams/wwwpages_new/1076.1_roster_published.html. Best regards, Alain VachouxReceived on Tue Oct 4 05:58:21 2005
