Dear IEEE 1076.1 Working Group members,

The vote on the draft Revision PAR closed last Friday. Here are the results.

WG members in the roster: 38 (of which 15 are DASC members for 2005)
Have voted: 11 (of which 9 are DASC members)
Since we have 15 voting members in the WG, the 50% quorum is reached.

Vote details:
     Peter Ashenden yes
     Jim Barby yes
     Ernst Christen yes
     Deepika Devarajan yes
     Joachim Haase yes
     Ralf Juchem yes
     Jake Karrfalt yes (*)
     Tom Kazmierski yes (*)
     Michael Mirmak yes
     John Shields yes
Comments from John: I understand the purpose is to align 1076.1 with the
changes to 1076 as well as incorporate the errata discovered. I trust it
does not preclude enhancement to 1076.1, based on lessons learned from the
current MS HDLs. If that is out of scope, I would suggest generalizing the
language of the PAR.
     Alain Vachoux yes

(*) not registered as DASC members for 2005 (as far as I know)

To answer John Shields' comment, let me stress that the 1076.1 PAR intentionally
focuses on maintaining the current language definition. New features or
enhancements to the language are not precluded, but will need to be based on
sound requirements and objectives and formally addressed by separate, but
related, (sub)PAR(s). Once successfully balloted, they could be integrated in
the language definition and then subject to regular maintenance under the 1076.1
PAR.

As a consequence, the draft Revision PAR is approved. The PAR will be then
submitted to IEEE NesCom for approval.

Thank you for your participation.

Best Wishes for 2005,
Alain Vachoux
