update on 1076.1.1

Colleagues,

By way of updating you on the progress of the ballot of 1076.1.1, the ballot
conducted earlier this year went very well and we've been addressing
comments.
92% were in favor of the standard as is. Following IEEE guidelines we will
be recirculating the draft indicating the comments and changes that resulted
from the negative votes.

This recirculation will only last 10 days. More detailed instructions will
be
sent to the original ballot group. If you were not part of that group you
will
not get the chance to reballot the recirculation. Our expectation is that
this
will conclude the 1076.1.1 balloting and the standard will be set at that
time.
We have begun the recirculation paperwork and hope to have that to you soon.
