Kaushik,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. There are a number of
similar errors in the printed version of the LRM, many of them related
to the backslash character. The errors were introduced when the LRM was
converted from one wordprocessor format to another. They have been
reported to the IEEE, who has indicated that an errata sheet will be
published.
